How to Classify a Pixel

This is a tutorial on how to classify a pixel in the image pane.

Available Commands

• Left Mouse Button - selects a pixel in the image to be classified.
• s - randomly selects a pixel in the image to be classified.
• q - exits the sampling mode and returns to selecting.
• 0-9 - assigns a classification to the current pixel of interest.

Steps

1. Enter the sampling mode by going to the menu bar and picking the Training menu and selecting Interactive Sampling.
2. Either move the mouse cursor over the image pane and left click to select a pixel or press s to randomly select a pixel. Pressing q will exit sampling mode.

   

3. The pixel of is interest is surrounded by a green square in the image pane and the area of the image inside the square is displayed in the context pane. The pixel can be classfied by pressing a number key. A different pixel can be chosen by pressing s or by selecting it with the mouse. The sampling mode can be exited by pressing q.
